SAFE AND EFFECTIVE DANCE PRACTICE information day

This conference addresses all dance related professionals including physicians, physiotherapists, movement specialists, alternative health-care practitioners, company directors, choreographers, teachers, and dancers, and is dedicated to improving dancers health, well-being and performance, by promoting safe and effective dance practice, body/mind friendly training, and injury prevention strategies.

Topics will include fitness, eating disorders, psychological and physical issues in training today, hyper-mobility, turnout, imagery and somatic training, breathing, core stability, abdominal strength, injury prevention and management. Information will also be provided about the IADMS/Trinity College London Certificate in Safe and Effective Dance Practice and the conference’s content will provide valuable learning for those wishing to take this qualification.

The conference will be hosted during the Danz Festival Lëtzebuerg, a contemporary platform for local and international dance companies.

JOURNEE D’INFORMATION SUR UNE PRATIQUE DE DANSE SAINE ET EFFICACE
selon l’initiative de IADMS/Trinity College London

Cette conférence s’adresse à tous les professionnels travaillant autour de la danse: médecins, physiothérapeutes, spécialistes du mouvement, praticiens de médecines alternatives, directeurs de compagnies, chorégraphes, enseignants et danseurs.

La conférence a pour objectif d’améliorer la santé des danseurs, leur bien-être ainsi que leurs performances en soutenant une pratique de danse saine et efficace, un entraînement juste pour le corps et pour le mentale et des stratégies de prévention de blessures.

Les sujets traités incluront, entre autres, les troubles alimentaires, une révision dans la formation du danseur, l’hypermobilité, l’en-dehors, la musculature interne, etc. Une présentation du Certificate in Safe and Effective Dance Practice, une initiative de IADMS/Trinity College London sera donnée et le contenu de la conférence offrira un apprentissage précieux à ceux qui aimeraient obtenir cette qualification.

La conférence est présentée dans la cadre du Danz Festival Lëtzebuerg.
